Laser therapy is one form of alternative therapy offered at our hospital. It is commonly used in pets to help them heal and provide some pain relief. Our veterinary care team started using this form of treatment in 2013 and has seen immense success in various cases. How does laser therapy work in pets?

Laser therapy in pets works the same way it does in humans. Light is aimed at certain parts of the body and it penetrates through layers and stimulates several reactions. The light restores energy, reduces inflammation and stimulates cell growth. This helps heal the body. At our hospital we’ve seen laser therapy benefit more than 90% of patients who have been treated with it.
